Saaeha Rauz, PhD FRCOphth

Saaeha Rauz, PhD, FRCOphth is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Centre for Translational Inflammation Research, College of Medical and Dental Sciences, University of Birmingham (UK) and Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre, Birmingham (UK) where she runs supra-regional inflammatory ocular surface disease and immunosuppression clinics. Her specific clinical and research interests are conjunctival scarring disorders such as mucous membrane pemphigoid and Stevens-Johnson Syndrome / Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis together with other causes of dry eye including Primary Sjögren’s Syndrome. She is the Immediate Past-President of MCLOSA (the British Ocular Surface Society), serves on the medical council of the British Sjögren’s Syndrome Association, is Associate Editor of Eye (Journal of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, Nature Publishing Group) and serves on several Committees at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists including Continuing Professional Development, FRCOphth Part 1 Examinations, Academic Group and Scientific.
