WELCOME
We cordially welcome all the participants and guests of
the International Conference "The Application of the Amniotic
Membrane in Ophthalmology", jointly organized by University
Departments of Ophthalmology in Heidelberg (Germany) and in Lublin
(Poland) as the Third Regional Meeting of the International Ocular Surface
Society. This young society is quickly developing and we are pleased to
contribute to its activities.
We greatly appreciate the participation of large number
of experts from all over the world who devoted their time to share their
knowledge and experience with the ophthalmologists of our area.
We are especially grateful to Prof. Scheffer Tseng, the
IOSS President, who helped us to select keynote speakers and who agreed to
deliver the inaugural lecture. He was assisting in finalizing the
scientific program.
We believe that the conference will help to apply new
knowledge and exchange the ideas by ophthalmologists and will stimulate
development of new friendship and cooperation between all colleagues
interested in ocular surface.
We wish all the participants fruitful scientific sessions and a
pleasant stay in Poland.
