Deborah S. Jacobs, MD

Deborah S. Jacobs, MD earned her undergraduate A.B. degree from Harvard and Radcliffe Colleges. She earned an M.Sc. degree in Physiological Sciences from Oxford University in England, and then returned to the United States to complete a medical degree at Harvard Medical School. After completing Ophthalmology residency in the Harvard Medical School Department of Ophthalmology at Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary, Dr. Jacobs pursued subspecialty training in Cornea and External Disease through a fellowship at Mass. Eye and Ear. She was Director of Cornea Service at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center from 1992-2006, Medical Director at BostonSight, 501(c)3, from 2006-2018, and now serves as Faculty, Cornea and Refractive Surgery Service, Massachusetts Eye & Ear, and Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School.  Her main interests include ocular surface disease, corneal ectasia, evidence based medicine, and the use of contact lenses in health and disease.
